During my secondment at Cardiff university, I realize experiments on the chlorophyll a mesurement on four diatoms isolated from the Oranian Coast, using the Pulse-Amplitude-Modulation ( PAM). All species were grown in f/2 medium at 18 °C under a low light. Cultures were photoacclimated to these conditions at least 10 days before measurements. The PAM provided us the values of F, Fm', Y (II), PSII. Then, we were able to calculate the Y(NO) and Y(NPQ). The four species showed similar patterns of rapid photoacclimation in ETR.
