Originally from Celebes Island, Indonesia, she chose Szczecin for her Ph.D. due to her interest in the city, excellent laboratory facilities, and expert and supportive supervisors, as well as the opportunities offered by the Doctoral School. Thanks to the GHaNA project funded by MCSA EU, she had the chance to come to the University of Szczecin for a research mobility program before starting her Ph.D. She has been living in Szczecin for a year and plans to stay for a total of four years. Her research focuses on the biodiversity of marine diatoms at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Science. Also, as an academician at Universitas Brawijaya Malang, Indonesia, she actively engages in lecturing, research, and community empowerment.
